Person of Interest - Forrest County Sheriff's Office

The Forrest County Sheriff Office is requesting the Public’s assistance in identifying and locating this suspect in connection with an Attempting Murder.

 The Attempted Murder happened on January 11th 2024, in the 7400 block of Highway 49 in Hattiesburg Mississippi. This subject is described as a black male, approximately 275-350 lbs, 6’2” -6’4”.

He can be seen in surveillance photos wearing a black on red jacket underneath a black “SOX baseball “ style letterman jacket, gray jogging type pants and tan/brown work style boots. The suspect is one of two suspects who fled the location in a white 2008- 2010 Honda Accord, 4 doors with tinted windows and a sun roof.

 It is believed that this suspect has ties in the Hattiesburg metropolitan area and is associated with Robert Pittman JR of Purvis Mississippi.

Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers has received information that this unknown suspect is in either In the Austin or Dallas/Fort Worth area.

The Denton County Crime Stoppers program is launching the Safe Schools Program which offers schools in Denton County a reporting system that is free, keeps tips anonymous, and a way for students to report offenses occurring on campus.
