About our ProgramThe Denton County Crime Stoppers Program began in 1989 from the efforts of a group of Little Elm citizens who sought to combat drug abuse in their community. The Program now operates as an independent organization consisting of a board of directors comprised of citizens from all areas of Denton County. The concept has developed into a combination of efforts by local media, businesses, civic and social clubs, law enforcement agencies, and the public. Reward monies and donations of air time and newspaper space have established Crime Stoppers as an effective tool to fight crime in the Denton County area. Mission StatementCrime Stoppers is comprised of diverse, active and dedicated community representatives. Crime Stoppers provides a method for local law enforcement to receive information on crimes. These efforts increase tips, which in turn increase arrests in our community.
